Seeking God within, living as one in community, journeying onward to the Lord.
For generations, the Augustinian Recollect Sisters have sought God together and served His people with simplicity, courage, and joy.

Welcome. Come and know us.
We are the Congregation of the Augustinian Recollect Sisters, a community of women consecrated to God and called to live the Gospel through prayer, communion, interiority, and humble service.
Our story began with two sisters whose hearts longed for a life entirely given to God: Mother Dionicia de Santa Maria and Mother Cezilla Rossa de Jesus Talangpaz. Their quiet courage, perseverance, and deep devotion became the seed from which our Congregation grew.
Today, their spirit continues wherever an Augustinian Recollect Sister prays with her community, accompanies the young, educates, cares for those in need, serves the Church, welcomes another person, or quietly offers her life for the mission of Christ.
Whether you are discerning a vocation, remembering an AR Sister who touched your life, connected with one of our schools or ministries, searching for a place of prayer, or simply wishing to know us better, you are welcome here.
Come and discover our story.
Perhaps, in some way, it is becoming part of yours.
Rooted in God. United in Community. Sent to Serve.
Our Spiritual Journey
Our life is shaped by the spirituality of Saint Augustine, who calls us to seek God within, to live in communion, and to journey together with one mind and one heart toward Him.
Prayer
Community
We return each day to the One who first called us. Through the Eucharist, the Liturgy of the Hours, personal prayer, silence, contemplation, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, we allow God to form our hearts.
United in one mind and one heart in God, we share our lives in communion. Through sisterly love, mutual support, and shared service, we journey together toward God, reflecting His love to the world.
Interiority
Following the Augustinian way, we enter the depths of the heart, where God speaks. From this interior encounter comes the freedom to live truthfully and love generously.
Prayer sends us outward. Through education, pastoral ministry, care for children and the elderly, missionary work, and other apostolates, we seek to recognize and serve Christ in His people.
Service
Is God inviting you to something more?
Sometimes a vocation begins quietly.
A question that keeps returning.
A desire to pray more deeply.
A longing to give your life to something greater than yourself.
A growing love for God and His people.
If you are wondering whether God may be calling you to religious life, you do not need to have every answer before taking the first step.
Come. Pray. Discern. Ask questions.
Allow God to lead you.
Could He be calling you to become an Augustinian Recollect Sister?

A heritage of faith. A future of hope.
We remember with gratitude.
300 Years and Beyond
We live the present with courage.
The three-hundred-year journey of the Augustinian Recollect Sisters is more than the remembrance of dates and events. It is the story of God's fidelity experienced through generations of women who answered His call.
We move toward the future with hope.
